We needed skilled craftsmen to build a large inglenook in stone, to return our house to its original condition. I am pleased that we found George and his team because they built our inglenook to a very high standard of finish. George is obviously a master craftsman and it was a pleasure to see how he expertly selected and dressed the stone to give the effect that we were looking for. Scaffolding up Friday, day and half to take down old chimney, rebuild using much of original stone, plus new matching sandstone. And scaffolding gone by 11am Mon morning.

Large Stone Pillars.

Recently we've had 4 large stone pillars and 2 sloping walls built by Set in Stone. They're manor and attitude to work was a professional approach. Set in Stone advised us, as to what type of walls and pillars to have built. We were also able to see a varied selection of stonework previously built by Set in Stone presented to us in their portfolio. Over all we are very impressed especially with the end result.

Electric Station

To whom it may concern, As Project Manager for a large, electrical upgrade, contract to be undertaken in the North Wales area, I was required to carry out many per-installation tasks in order to facilitate the installation of a generator in an old store room. The building within in which the installation was to take place is faced with Welsh stone and the client was keen to maintain the aesthetics of the building. To the end i looked through the local directories to find a suitable sub- contractor. Set In Stone were selected after viewing a portfolio of previous work, one in particular echoed the type of work that I required. Set In Stone were to carry out several penetrations to the building for inlet and outlet dampers, emergency fire exit, fuel pipes and external cabling. Costs were agreed, Methods Statements and Risk assessments received and the work commenced. Each aperture was constructed, with lintels, as per requirements.

Having been impressed by some stone work been carried out by
Set In Stone, I commissioned them to create access through my boundary wall by way of a stone arch complete with a mahogany door.Having overcome red tape problems with council planners, they exercised great patience in waiting to do the work.
